To help expedite the handling of pre-orders, all plant sale orders must be placed online (we no longer accept mail-in order forms). The online site has been designed for easy use, and includes detailed descriptions about each plant species such as light and soil conditions, plant height, approximate bloom time and bloom color. Detailed, colorful images have been included to help you select your plants. Payment must be placed at the time of the order. After you place your order, you will receive an automatic confirmation email. Please place your order early as popular plant species sell out quickly.
We’re excited to announce that our Spring Native Plant Sale has a new location—the Boone County Fairgrounds. This expanded venue allows the chapter to offer its largest sale yet, featuring over 130 species of native plants and more than 10,000 individual plants available to the public. This new location will offer more space, easier access, and an improved shopping experience! The Boone County Fairgrounds are located at 8791 IL Rt 76, Belvidere, IL.
Contact one of the plant sale coordinators if you have any questions.

Become a Plant Sale Volunteer!
Come join us as a volunteer at our 2026 native plant sale. Volunteering is crucial to the success of the sale and we are counting on you to help out with this year’s event. We depend on those of you who have helped in the past and welcome new volunteers.
Volunteer shifts range from two to four hours in the morning or afternoon on days before and during the sale. You can select just one spot or sign-up for more. It’s a fun way to get outside, visit with fellow Wild Ones members, and meet others interested in native plants.
It is preferred that you sign up for your selected dates and time slots at this link: http://bit.ly/4tLCpoI by April 15. You will receive an email reminder three days in advance of your shift time.
Please contact Betsy Kelly, volunteer coordinator, at: bkelly3074@aol.com or 815-988-6526 if you are interested in helping with the plant sale this year.
We’d love to have you join us!
